What are the core deficits of autism? - autism triad

I thought I had to do with the triad of impairment to the fact that people with autism have difficulties in communication, interaction and imagination ..... My friend disagreed and said that the primary deficit has to do due to the disruption and false beliefs. Who's right? Please help
